I thought it was strange that a bag of cash was laying around the basement, but I was assuming the maid would find the cash on the way out, but then the credits started rolling.

Considering it was probably soaked in that scumbag lawyers blood i doubted anyone would take it.

The cash was probably lying around in the basement because the uncle convinced the lawyer to lure his nephew into the house and promised him money in exchange. That's my guess anyways.

I imagine there's an off-screen bizarre epilogue where the cops have to come out to retrieve the bodies of Cyrus and the others as well as having the house demolished. I imagine at some point, the luggae full of money is found and, while most of the bills are blood-soaked and need to be replaced, it does go to the Kriticos family, as they _are_ his only surviving family after all.
