Movie would have done better with better script, more people

I know it was a remake of the 1960 original but that was the 1960s, any wardrobe, makeup, and 60s CGI effects they used for the 12 ghosts probably ate 90 percent of the budget and forced them to use a 5-10 person cast.

The best thing this movie has going for it are the 12 ghosts, who are all creepy in their own way and have rich backstories that are never even told except through DVD extras. We only really get to see the juggernaut, the angry princess, the hammer, and the jackal. If this movie had more people, each ghost can get the screentime to kill off someone.

The idea behind the 13th ghost is uninteresting and rather dumb. Needs to be made out of an act of pure love, acts as a failsafe for some doomsday device to open the gates of hell as part of a masterplan to take over the world, what a crock of sh!t. Take out the world domination plan and find some other way to name the movie "13 ghosts".
