Good picture I never heard of.

This movie acted like a romantic comedy YET was genuine funny, AND avoided many many of the romantic comedy cliches.

For example when sheen finally reveals he has been deceiving the publisher woman she doesn't care. There is no long drawn out cliche period where she hates him and he has to "win her back". She just says "I dont care, I love you too", and they go to bed.

Far more realistic than some inane "insert part where main guys deception is revealed and he does some gesture to get her back before climax of film" thing comes in.

Many more moments like that, that actually suprised me and kept me watching.

It was mildy diverting, that's the best I could say. Denise Richards' acting really spoiled it for me, though. Cringe-worthy. Angie Harmon was bad enough, but then when Denise came on, it made Angie seem like an Oscar winner.

Lovitz and Arquette should have been the leads. They were scene stealers.
