Dorothy's Character..

She really irritated me! I love Jessica Capshaw and she did a good job but Dorothy just had a needy, insecure and narcotic personality.
When Campbell says he's going out..she got so territorial and whiny. Then she always made her friends feel guilty because she was "big boned."
She blamed everyone for crap and never took any responsibility. She wanted someone so desperately so she ignored the signs of what Campbell was about. Like with Kate.."Campbells all I have"..like knowing a guy for a month. wow!
Like seriously guys..how many of you would honestly tell your girlfriends your
sob story and everything wrong with your life. Most men I know would hide the fact. He was just so obvious.

I agree completely about Dorothy. That's why I personally think her death was not only the most deserving but also fitting. Because of how she ruined someone else's life after they were nice to her in the past, her life was soon spiraling out of control in her final days due to, as you said, she wouldn't take responsibility for her own terrible actions and became an insufferable b*&$. And in death, her own life and reputation is ruined by the notion that she's a serial killer.

Btw, I also thought that Jessica Capshaw and the actress who played younger Dorothy both did a great job playing a potentially sympathetic yet ultimately ungrateful and conniving character.

She "ruined" someone else's life because of the awful school bullies who humiliated her. She was thinking of her own survival, not purposely being nasty. I can understand him being upset with her for never correcting her mistake, but no way did she deserve to die for shit those boys caused.

reply

So it's never the woman's fault is it? Not once did she show any remorse for her actions.

reply

"So it's never the woman's fault is it? "

I didn't even imply that. You seem to have issues.

reply

You said the killer seemed to be a sexist and that's why he went after the girls and not the boys. Nothing to do with the fact that the one girl you're defending was the reason they attacked first.

reply

You're confusing yourself, nutjob. This is about your false claim that I supposdly never blame a woman for anything.

reply

Then why bring up sexism? Why pin all the blame on those bully boys when the onr girl was the main cause of it.

reply

Because the boys were the ones who beat him up and humiliated him and he had no desire to go after them. Beduh.

And learn how to read, freakshow, I never put "all the blame" on them. But if you're so crazy to believe Jeremy had a good motive and justification for the killings, then she certainly had a reasonable motive for her false accusation. Her intention was not for him to be institutionalized.

reply

Again, how do you know he never went after them? The deleted scene indicated he didn't let them off the hook.

You are putting the blame on them when you're making excuses for her. What did she think was gonna happen if she made a false allegation? He may have gone overboard but Institutes break people and that's what she did when she sent him there and felt no guilt about it.

reply

"Again, how do you know he never went after them?"

Because it never happened in the movie, duh. I don't care about some deleted scene, him going after them should actually have been one of the main plot points.

"You are putting the blame on them when you're making excuses for her."

Complete falsehood. I simply responded to someone who put all the blame on her.

reply

Even if he went after the boys, should he excuse the girls? He went after them because they were the main cause of his childhood trauma.

"Complete falsehood. I simply responded to someone who put all the blame on her."

That's because it is all on her because she made the accusation that started it all.
