The reason I kind of liked this whereas I *beep* hated "Kids" is that this movie is about one group of complete loser *beep*-ups and is hardly a statement on "youth in America today".

MOST kids who get to grow up privileged in the white, middle class may experiment with sex and drugs, but they don't drop out of high school, have illegitimate kids, participate in teen prostitution rings, give bj's to jerks they just met two hours ago, and commit murder. This is NOT a statement on kids today in general. Every wealthy suburb in America has a few losers like this, but they're hardly representative of American youth.

They just don't make movies about teens who only occasionally drink and smoke dope, have fairly monogamous sexual relationships, get along with their parents more or less, and do well in school and go on to college. Fortunately though, THOSE are still the majority.
