the 'hitman'
Never saw anybody pay him. What was his motivation to even get involved?
shareHe got involved because it made him feel like a Big Willie.
shareHe wasnt a real hitman..
and he certainly wasnt mafia...
Im doubting he ever met a made mafia soldier..
If he was the most experienced "hitter" of that band of misfits he still knew nothing whatsoever about planning a murder...They and the so called "hitman" did everything you could possibly do wrong every step of the way.. His insight and planning and conceaelment of the murder was all the kind of information you might get off of a TV show like Matlock or something of that nature...
He was one step above the moron from Boardwalk Empire..
he never asked for money or gave a quote. couldn't get weapons....wtf? & they did everything he said. woooow. really? didn't even have a car. rofl. he sucked.
but yeah, he was trying to make a name for himself.

Most likely he was just as impressionable as the other idiots who thought they had a met a professional who was going to solve all their problems for them, and was happy to play along with their fantasy.
His 'criminal crew', after all, consisted of a punch of kids, probably the only type of person he could impress. Even his little brother mocked him.
When darkness overcomes the heart, Lil' Slugger appears...
"The hitman needs a ride." The funniest line in the whole film.
Yes, most hitmen have a car.
these comments r great👍

read the book..it's not a bad one.
he is not a hitman...a total wannebe...his dad grows and sells palms..Derek IS a big guy, sure, 6-3, 230 pounds, looks imposing...he bonded with the other Derek,Lisa's cousin ..they loved the same video parlor game, the one where you can get 'babalized"..
two things motivated him, to try to project image that he was a big-time mob gumbah, and the fact that there were 'hot chicks" involved..possibly three, instant friendship with Derek S
