Rachel Miner

She is so ridiculously annoying and not the least bit attractive to be parading around naked for most of the movie. Why would Marty be interested in that needy and clingy melodrama? After about five minutes of her I was hoping that they decided to change the actual story and murder her worthless ass instead.

Everything about her just rubs me the wrong way. Her acting makes me want to and actually have screamed at the tv and told her to "just shut the f-ck up" numerous times.

I kinda hated feeling like I was rooting for Bobby against Lisa for the majority of the film. Then I thought about it..
Obviously, Bobby Kent had major anger and other emotional problems. But so did every single one of those seven other teenagers.
At least he was still in school and planning on going to college with goals.
Not only in the movie but in real life it seemed as if not
one of these sociopathic criminals had any redeeming qualities or even remorse.
They were just upset they were caught.

Anyway I typically can't stand an assault on an actress or character or part but this time I had to say something. She is just so *beep* annoying. And then she just keeps talking and doesn't listen or pay attention. She emasculates Marty in front of the hit man as well as pretty much everyone else throughout the whole move. I just cannot stand her and I can't be
the only one to think that.

Sorry everyone. I just really had to get that off my chest.

This happens all the time. Loser men getting with women like that cause they think it's the best they're ever gonna get.

Puccio and Kent were actually considered sort of pretty boys, maybe especially Puccio, and both were muscled-up beach-boys..initially, the two women actually pursued them..and Willis, as an actual whore professionally and recreationally, was popular with boys even if Connelly not so much..

Point is, for the time being, both of these dudes should have been capable of 'pulling' girls..they , especially Puccio again, were a hit at the gay club they flirted with , kind of as a money-making scheme (which totally failed as that goes) but this too was wrecked mostly by Kent's aggressive violent sickmindedness..
But anyway, initially, these two bitches were both knocked out by these two guys..naturally, Willis being less needy than Lisa, soon became un-knocked out by the habitually abusive perverted Kent.

You can blame her excessive nudity on Larry Clark. Besides, she looks GOOD naked and this is preferable to the typical Hollywood movies where actresses have numerous sex scenes without ever actually taking off their clothes (i.e. Blake Lively in "Savages").

She is irritating in this, but then her character is SUPPOSED TO BE irritating and obnoxious. Since Miner is much prettier than the real-life Lisa Connelly (a chubby skank with a face like a mack truck), it actually works that her performance is so annoying (even if it might be partly the result of incompetent acting).

Generally though, you seem to be confusing the actress with the CHARACTER. It's not a negative reflection on the actress that they make a horrible character horrible. Pretty much everybody in this story was a completely horrible person.

i think Rachel Miner is hot and didn't mind her being naked, but it does become Gratuitous. I mean i made it look liked she lived liked a nudist when she was in her bedroom.

yeah...maybe that's the official line on the surface, and it is true that Kent was still in school and doing well in a mediocre sort of way, but as for all of these plans...when you read the book, you get the sense that these plans were more Kent's father's plan for Bobby, than Bobby's plan for Bobby..

Besides the bare fact of still being in school and not failing, and besides having supportive parents and a success-driven immigrant father, Kent on his own merits was pretty much as much a dull fairly lazy loser ahole going not very far, in his bones, as the rest of this crew..

They had already failed and were going nowhere outright...he was approaching failure not too far ahead, and not going very far..

Even Fred's plans for him seem to be limited to setting him up in a car-sound fitting shop...read what you want into that, what it says of Fred's estimates of his son's interests and capacity..it's not exactly the White House or the Space Program, is it?
