I am friends with with Ali Willis and Derek Dzvirko on Facebook. I messaged Ali awhile back and had the following conversation with her:

ME: Hey, can I ask you something?

ALI: Sure ask me anything you want. Ill do my best to answer. I can only answer questions if it is something I was present at or anything to do with myself;)

ME: How accurate is Jim Schutze's book? I heard everyone said it was complete fiction.

ALI:Almost none of it was accurate. For example, I did graduate high schoola nd was enrolled in college also. I ahd a baby with my husband whom I was with since I was 14. Not a one night stand! None of us were drug users like portrayed either.

ME: Then how the heck did all of you get involved with such a crime? What where all the other participants really like? Why would they fabricate it so much?

ALI: SEx and violence sells. I was there cause there was going to be a fight and I wanted to watch after Bobby beat my ass for a couple weeks. Bobby and his bff Marty were gay lovers which no one knew. Marty killed Bobby because of it.

I could try to ask her more things if you guys want.

they had a weird homo-erotic relationship and almost flirted with other homosexuals at gay bars, whilst Kent in particular continually showered anything gay with abuse and scorn..I'm not sure they had a gay sexual relationship, though...

For example, if only a 'fight' was anticipated...why was the 'hitman" Derek Kaufmann involved??

If not as a supposed 'mafia hitman" advising them on killing Bobby, then why there at all???

Throw in the earlier botched plan by her and Lisa to crack him in back of skull with a .25 pistol...Connelly chickened out at last minute...is Ali saying that entire story of an earlier attempt never happened??
Anyway, tell her I don't blame them for offing that POS, just they should have found a less fking retarded way of doing it.
Their plan and aftermath was so fking sub-retarded, that is another reason to suppose that they were all tweakers...with possible exception of Kaufmann..we know what his angle was.

Thank her for a great American crime story anyway, loved the book, liked the movie...this from an Australian who has been to Fort Lauderdale/Broward twice..I know the ground...

I think their worst crime was what a bunch of wiggers they acted.I hope she has grown out of that phase.

deflection at cross-purposed, non-responsive...whether sex and violence sells, the violence of the story could not have been a fabrication, the violence was the basic fact.There can be no suggestion that Schutze fabricated the central violence of the story, so wtf is she talking about?

Alot of what she told me is pretty much what she said in TV interviews. At first I believed her and the others in regards to the book being mostly fiction, but now I'm beginning to think otherwise. They are all either lying, in complete denial or both.

and what about the knives and other weapons? she had no idea that Semenec and Puccio had brought weapons? not even just baseball bats which you could still ascribe to an intention to beat the fck out of him, but knives..

and why then decoy/draw him down to the water's edge? you don't need to do that just to kick his asse, either...once they are there, what does it matter where he is standing, just kick his asse.

Also, while he was being stabbed...if it just got out of control and the girls had no idea that this was what was coming...
were her and the other girls then trying to call the boys off and stop it ?

I can picture it..they are in jail for some years, and the girls in particular all lobbying for early release..denying they had any real role in it and minimalising whole thing..repeating some version where they had so little role that they did not do anything...(which as you recall Lisa Connelly in particular just keep saying stupidly over and over after her arrest:" but I didn't do anything, but I didn't do anything..." and her moronic mother and idiotic uncle, and even her second lawyer the TV law show guy, running same line...)

then, once out of jail, they need to rebuild their lives and move on, they need to be the misunderstood harshly punished by-stander kids caught up and who did not do anything, rather than people at the middle of a savage murder who are now just parolees and probably got off lightly...they start believing their own BS themselves.

Can you ask her do any of the other people involved with the crime have facebook? (At least the ones out of Jail)

Also, can you ask her why they did it period?

The main reason for Marty to do it was because Bobbby gave him HIV.

I did it too! A few years ago I was so much into this movie that I wanted to know everything about it.
I contacted Ali and Derek on Facebook and chatted with them.
They were really willing to open up about everything.
They are also friends with each other and what I wonder most is the fact, that Ali has a pic of Bobby in her profile.
Of course they all present themselves as pretty innocent.
Ali does not like, of how slut-like she was portrayed in the movie. (She is also friends with the actress Bijou Phillips on facebook lol!)
She has also appeared on a television show where she confessioned to be at least a witness of a murder.
She also told me of how hard it is to find a job if you have been charged once.
