confessional scene?

I recently watched this again movie for the first time in several years. My question has to do with a scene I thought was in the movie, but didn't find. The disc I borrowed does have a scratch though, and skips from the grand-mere and grand-pere story to just after Josephine leaves Serge, so maybe I just missed it. I also didn't find it in the deleted scenes.

I seemed to remember that there is a scene where Guillaume is in the confessional booth, and the priest is telling him that animals don't have souls, but that it's a sin for Charlie to go into the chocolaterie. Guillaume questions this, because if animals don't have souls, then Charlie can't sin.

Is this a real scene or am I totally misremembering?

reply

Yeah, that's in there...

"David Warner, you are under arrest by order of David Warner!"

In the part that's skipping?

reply

Sounds like it. But I'd have to get my movie out again to be sure...

I just watched it. It's in there around 42 minutes, two scenes after the grandmother/grandfather story.
