What really appeals to women about this story is the idea that they can jerk a guy around for as long as you want, even years, for no reason at all and he will never get mad, never just say "fk it" and move on, he will drop an actual fiancee for them with no incentive at all, and it will turn out to be a pleasant experience for them both.
