what happened at the house? SPOILERS

when Cusack and Piven find the house in San Fran, they see a couple having sex. Does Cusack recognize thats not Beckinsale's character? He seemed disappointed seeing the couple having sex.

Was he disappointed because he couldn't find Beckinsale?

Or was he disappointed because he thought she was having sex with another man?

Well, he had not seen her in 5 years and her sister, at least from a distance, had similar features.

He knew it was her house so he made the assumption that she was Sara.

Also, the movie would have to be written differently if he had realized it was not her.
