Not sure, but I always thought the kid represented the devil trying to intervene.
share^Yea, that's what I thought as well. I thought it was a cute little touch. The whole film doesn't make sense if you hadn't caught on
I wake up from dreams and go "Wow, put this down on paper."
Of course, if I was writing the film, I would have included a cut scene involving him getting molested, as a means of giving him his comeuppance.
