Near the end, when he is reading his obituary...during the line about the "soul mate" there is an extra over John's left shoulder that has turned to the camera and is mouthing lines. That has to be intentional, right? ...as it is being read "silently"

Omg lol I just watched this movie for the first time tonight and I noticed that! Long sleeved white shirt with sunglasses and talking on the phone, right? I don't know if he was mouthing the lines, but whatever he was doing was so obvious. It was strange.
I've never fooled anyone. I've let people fool themselves.
I'm watching the movie now and he's on the phone and he's not mouthing the lines, he's talking on the phone. I've never noticed it before and for good reason, he's an extra.
Actually 4 people are on the phone and at some point, they're all mouthing words.
