I didn't like this movie at first....

but I actually condsider this one of my favorite romances. I'm a guy and I just found Kate Beckinsale adorable in this. I've been a huge fan of hers ever since seeing this.

First, I didn't like it because I spent almost the entire film annoyed with Beckinsale's character for ruining their meeting with that dumb "meant to be" elevator stunt. After seeing it more times it really grew on me and it boils down to I really liked the main characters. I liked John Cusack and Kate Beckinsale and I was rooting for them to get together. I really loved the soundtrack as well. I had to go out and download the song from this that I loved (January Rain (David Gray), When You Know (Shawn Colvin) & Northern Sky (Nick Drake).

I did feel bad for Cusack's fiance....getting dumped on the day of her wedding. She really seemed like a sweet person who truly loved Cusack's character. It happened off screen but I'm sure she was devastated. I do feel bad for her but other than that it was a very warm, cute, sweet film.
