... at her for WASTING 7 years of our FRIGGIN' BLISS ... just because she wanted to jump in separate elevators to test fate, or whatever.

Well first off, it wasn't 7 years. The only reference to 7 years is when she lived in the apartment with the French guy to the present in the film. Plus we are given a clear "A few years later..." in the film and I've never heard of someone referring to 7 years as "a few".

There are several mentions of it being 7 years - most notably, we know the movie is set in 2001 (because that's when it was filmed) and at one point when talking to the young kid in the leasing office, he asks "so you want the records for 1994?".

Seven years.

Well if it's to end up that way, I'd say it's worth it.
You can have a great day with any random stranger and give your number, but only the best ones stay with you for that long, not to mention bring you back together like that.
