I was wondering the significance of Rusty eating all through the movie?

Just a running gag for Brad Pitt. He eats in all his movies.

And it truly was a great 'running gag'. Pitt's scenes with Clooney especially were very entertaining. More than a little comedy DNA between those guys.

Brad Pitt said, that they had no time to eat between shots, so he suggested, that Rusty would eat always something, so that Pitt could eat:)
