Should have ended at the fountain

In my opinion we didn't need the "Three to six months later" segment, even though it does have some great lines. If the film ended directly following the Claire de Lune finale at the fountain, it would have been a masterpiece. But, the ending scene at the prison just took away from it. I like to turn the movie off as soon as the film fades to black after the fountain scene. I think that is a perfect ending for the film. Anyone agree?

It would have been nice but it also would have been a "crime pays" ending. Then there's what about Danny?
And there's the all-important sequel setup.

You are right, The thing with the "three to six months later" was too much. That plus... and I'm saying this as an eighteen year old romantic - and a girl on top of that - it would have been better if he just used Tess for the purpose of the crime, the last couple of scenes with her were absolutely unnecessary for the story.

Actually, it might have been better to start Ocean's Twelve with that scene. I don't know. Anyone agree?

Wow! What a great idea!

I like the ending as is and I don't think it takes anything away from the dreamy fountain scene. Besides, it's mainly Danny's story and he should be in the last scene imo.

Agree, thought the real ending kept me guessing what will happen next.
