Costume design (part of the dvd extras)
There's an interesting part in the dvd extras about the costume design of the movie.
-I thought it was brilliantly done. It's something you don't think about when you're watching a movie. I never noticed that Andy Garcia's character had an asian influence. The costume designer, Jeffrey Kurland, said it was a way to deflect how shrewd Terry Benedict was.
He wasn't an over the top villian. His look was perfect.
The look and costumes had a lot to do with the success of the movie IMO. Julia Roberts making her entrance coming down the steps in that red dress. Rusty was cool and slick (the cool suits).
