Were all of the plot holes INTENTIONAL?

First, let me make clear that I liked this movie. I've seen it many times and will watch it many more.

This movie was extremely unrealistic. In order for this heist to be pulled off, NUMEROUS unlikely scenarios and successes had to happen. EVERY one of them and all at the right time or the heist would not have worked. Just to name a few:

1. They can knock out the power on the strip. It's really THAT easy? No backup system in place?

2. Benedict allows Zerga access to the vault. No way.

3. Damon picked Benedict's pocket and got the access codes? Seriously?

4. No one thought it strange that a small group of MASKED swat guys rush in, rush out, take the bags with them, and don't take statements from casino employees?

5. They were able to override the 911 system? No other law enforcement agency caught wind of the robbery? C'mon.

There are others but these are all I could come up with off the top of my head. I know it's a movie and I have no problem with suspending disbelief. A little bit. But this was A LOT. That being said, do you think this movie KNEW it was completely unrealistic? Was Ocean's Eleven winking at the camera (for lack of a better way of putting it) and saying, "Yeah, we know this could never happen. Just play along." I say again, I LIKED this movie. So don't flame me.

First, those aren't plot holes. Plot holes are inconsistencies based on the logic within the movie. Just because it wouldn't are most likely wouldn't happen in real life doesn't make it a plot hole. Anyway, here are the answers.

1. As I said above, in this movie's universe it is that simple. In real life a "pinch" doesn't work like that.

2. Zerga never had access to the vault so I don't see the problem.

3. It was established earlier in the movie that he gets the new codes quickly after they are changed and that he puts them in his pocket, so again, I don't see the problem.

4. They were called specifically to deal with the people in the vault. They are SWAT and SWAT, as far as I know, doesn't interview witnesses

5. They didn't override the 911 system, they intercepted the call and pretended to be 911.

Many things in real life don't work like in these movies. Excellent observation. Movies that depict realistic (negative) actions don't portray anything in a realistic way. The powers that be, in this case Las Vegas, don't want anyone who doesn't already know that these tactics can't and won't work.

Movies are more propaganda than most people realize. They want to teach the ignorant something they have no clue they don't know.

There are many plot holes and dubious events, but this movie is so delicious that I am willing to suspend disbelief to the point that I am even willing to ignore Cheadle's accent.

You, like so many others on IMDb, don't know what a plot hole is.
