Damn, film looks way better than digital.

I think it's that moment when old films seem looking more expensive than the ones we see nowadays. There are indeed beautiful digital flicks, however watching this one made me a little sad. Most likely we will never see mainstream movies shot on beautiful film. Nolan, PTA, QT and Wes are probably the last ones.

Ocean's Eleven is extremely beautiful to look at.

The colors are very saturated and cheerful, contrast strong while retaining great dynamic range. I suspect some mild diffusion (or using spherical lenses with no coating) was used since light sources and colors tend to bleed over edges a little bit in a wonderfully organic way.
