What is with these all-female reboots? Is this new feminist wave so sunk into our culture that all movies with strong men have to be replaced with strong women, until all movies by default have female protagonists? Someone get these feminazi nutcases out of Hollywood already!
shareI don't get how replacing great male cast with females is empowering. That is like saying that in order for women to achieve greatness, they have to ride on the coattails of men. If they want to really empower women, they should make more movies like this Jennifer Lawrence vehicle, Joy. I mean, isn't it more empowering for women to see a great female star dealing with normal problems that the most average women face and actually overcome them?? Hell, maybe this is a good time to introduce what I call Super Dad. In this movie, we see a divorced single dad handle all of the nonsense around the house and manage a great job, and come home to be a great dad... without breaking a sweat. It's like... "Hey, ladies, you know that average lifestyle you hate and dread so much, being a mom and housewife?? Well, here's a movie that proves that men can do all of that without b!tching."
