Tess's entrance

Coming down the stairs the first time she appears, like she's supposed to be some paragon of beauty.

I don't mind Julia, but here she looked gangly and awkward and not at all attractive, and she was walking like her feet were on backwards.

...then whoa, differences...

reply

I think she looked good, but I agree the walk was very awkward. I think the skirt was too tight.

reply

This is one of the times I think she's been the most attractive. Loved her walk and thought it was an amazing entrance!

reply

Nope. Her feet are on fine. As a matter of fact, Roberts walks the stairs barefoot according to a behind-the-scenes featurette. When the film finally shows her feet, Roberts has descended the stairs and is walking on the ground floor.

reply

it was reported that she did the walk barefoot pretending to be in heels. so yeah awkward

reply

I lived in Vegas for a time, and often went to some of the locations in the film. Unfortunately, the staircase that she comes down in the Bellagio is no longer there.

'....and stay out of my bathroom.'

reply

totally agree.

She looked stiff, not at all attractive and that straightened hair didnt do much for her. For all the style and the elegant camera shots and movements of the movie, she didnt really seem like the epitome of beauty and cool the role demanded from her.

reply

Thank you! Always thought the same.

They make such a big deal of that overly cheesy staircase entrance, with Matt Damon's reaction, the staring, the music, awkward camera shots, what she's wearing etc.

Plus Julia has that "look at me, attempting to seductively walk down these stairs, trying to pull off sexy" expression.

Very smarmy look, imo.

I can't stand her...and she's one of those clod-women that can't walk in heals...no class, no poise...she walks like she's walking on railroad ties!

The validity of my answers is highly dependent on the intelligence of the question..or lack thereof.
