I don't understand. Why would a rich and smart guy as him would go for a woman who is an ex-wife of an ex-con?
Is the world coming to an end? Are there no other girls on the planet?
All he got is an aged woman who has not ended her relationships with her previous husband.
The story plot seems hollow right there. Tess is only a key to Ocean's plan inserted into the story which is ridiculous.

Maybe he didn't know about DANNY when they met. Maybe TESS told him after they had gone out for while. Also, she's still a smart and beautiful woman.

As for the attraction, well her character is beautiful, smart, classy, and fits very well into that environment, so I can see why he would find her a good match. Since she has a nice job and probably told him she wanted to move on and distance herself from Danny's lifestyle, I don't see that it would be such an obstacle. Sure, their relationship is largely a plot device, but I don't think there's anything unbelievable about it.
Julia has looked gorgeous in other movies but in this one, I don't think she looked her best.
Maybe it's the hair or wardrobe.
She's not even the best looking woman in the trailer park! Geesh, you guys must date wolves!

You're entitled to your opinion but like i said - my opinion is that Julia has looked better in other films, for eg, Pretty Woman, Flatliners etc, although they were made 10 years earlier, so she would look better.
In Ocean's Eleven, her overall look was quite ordinary.
Imo.
My comment is directed towards any man in the history of the world that has ever thought she was hot...I will exclude Lyle Lovett...He gets a pass...those two made a perfect couple...looks wise!
