God I hate how he acts

I know you all know who I'm talking about.

Is not only that he does terribly with the raccord (one of the biggest signs than an actor can't actually act) he just simply doesnt convey, doesnt transmit, he is like a lifeless doll that has no deep feelings. You dont believe him when he's on screen.

And it has happened to me before in other of his movies: from legends of the fall to benjamin button to WWZ. I can't simply believe the guy when he's acting.

Some say that for you to act well you need to have depth, character and be smart. Maybe that's the reason. He isn't deep enough and he might be somewhat of a douche in real life.

If it wasn't for the specific movies mentioned, I would have sworn you were reffering to Keanu Reeves.

NUh, I dont believe you. Why would I be talking about Reeves in an Ocean's eleven forum?

But the main reason why I don't believe you is because with Reeves at least you feel something. There is some sort of emotion, purpose, drive, warmth behind his one-liners. With Pitt is just a case of someone so stiff and predictable he seems to be on a loop. No evolution, no emotion, no depth. I dunno, maybe it's just me.

And he's always chewing something. Every scene, every movie, smacking his lips and crunching candy, sucking fingers. His scripts must be a sticky nightmare.

Don't know about other films but that's a deliberate choice in this one. The idea was that Rusty would be too busy to sit down and have a proper meal so he snacks a lot. Hence why he is eating in every scene.

What's a "raccord"?

Raccord is continuity. Doing the exact same gestures and dialogue and movements in every single shot of a one-camera scene. A great way to tell apart the good actors from the not so good.
