It's like a Woody Allen movie without the Woody Allen. I was really impressed with all the acting, everybody was spot on. (Extra props to Heather Grahm for totally breaking with her usual sexpot thing.) Wish the word could get out on this...surprised there isn't more of a board.
shareHmmm, I don't know - I haven't seen the original, we got this out a while ago without knowing anything about it. It's not a 'bad movie', and it was perfectly watchable, it's just it didn't eally seem to GO anywhere, in my opinion, do you know what I mean? It didn't really move on as much as it should in the space of the film.

i am new to the imdb and this was in my first 5 stops for message board reading. unreal there is not more, your right. anyway, i think that ed burns has the potential to be legendary. everything he does works in this film. i have never seen a woman be as hot AND as cute at the same time as brittany murphy in this movie. maybe thats why i loved it so much!!
It is strange how no one really knows about this film. However, i think it should not be overlooked. i loved it every minute of it. The acting was simple yet very good. The simplicity of this movie makes it great to watch....

I also like this movie. The acting is soooo realistic - that's my favourite thing about it. Everything the actors do is just so uber-natural. I was most impressed with Heather Graham and Brittany Murphy. They were appealing, funny, natural, great.
shareyes, it's so good that I'm writing my first imdb message just to give it some support! the best movie I saw in a long time. I guess people who don't have such relationship issues aren't that impressed.
I really liked this film also, not sure why but i found most of the characters both annoying and tolerable at the same time. I could see the good and the bad in all of them and I liked the way most of the relationships were portrayed.
