I love how they say they're innovative and original when it's the exact opposite. And I hate everything related to sadness being called emo. Resident I think you summed it up perfectly. I think these so-called "Emo's" make it hard for people really suffering with a mental disorder to seek help because they're afraid they'll be considered just "Emo".
shareThat's exactly it. I'm not against some emo music but i agree that people now become self concious about discussing their problems or seeking help because of the stigma attached to it. I think that being introspective is something of a pandoras box but on the other hand in order to lead a full life it is important to be honest about your feelings. Unfortunately in the society we live in today it's difficult to do this without feeling guilty about it. At the end of the day if you really do have real problems that stop you from functioning normally then i would say it is mandatory that you deal with them, regardless of whether others think you are just being "emo".
