Kind of off topic, but how did she get into Harvard?

I mean, she was smart, true that, but she didn't seem to have that much credentials that would get her in, except for the whole school paper thing. Plus the background of her mental condition would probably make admissions think twice about accepting her. I'm just really curious since Harvard is like, at the top of the line, and people are already practically killing themselves to get in other Ivy League universities, and Elizabeth was one of those people who really didn't seem to give a damn.

I don't know but presumably she had very good grades and then what else counts - the extra-curricular, don't they also interview and look at an essay? She probably did those well. She can obviously write and she probably wanted to go. Did she come from a good school?

Pretty sure admissions can't look at a background of mental illness, that would be discrimination. Plus she wasn't diagnosed until college was she?
