I was wondering. Is it true? I got the feeling that just like the article about her dad in the beginning it was just added to give everyone the happy ending they wanted.

It felt fake. Moreover, the scene before the drugstore and the message written at the end of the movie contradicted the story developed over the rest of it. We are shown how Prozac helps this troubled young girl overcome her crippling depression and that it's a best-selling drug. It actually looks more like advertising for Prozac.

Of course not. All happy endings are fake. If they show a happy outcome you will think everythings fine and the predators in charge can keep eating us alive....
