This was on IFC last night & I only mildly enjoyed the 1st one so there was no pressure.
& while I agree with all the jeers the movie received I actually found it rather entertaining & somewhat coherent.
I compared it to 'Ring 2' or 'Rob Zombie's Halloween' & in comparison I feel like this was a winner.
It was a bit preachy in the perspective of Wicca or goths & while I'm neither I am extremely anti-religious so I could appreciate it.
I love this movie and don't see why it received any of the hatred it did. I think it is a legitimately good movie and just as good as the first film in some ways. Both are some of the finest horror movies ever made in my eyes. It's funny you should mention Rob Zombie's Halloween because I think this film is what it would be like if Rob Zombie were to make a Blair Witch film (it even used one of his songs). And you say you're anti-religious yet you appreciate the perspective about Wiccans. Wicca is a religion. What you really meant to say is you're anti Christian.
