what would have made this movie better?
I thought it was an interesting idea. But I don't know if it was bad acting or a bad script (or both) but it just seemed like it could be so much better.

shareAnything... it sucked ass.
shareThis was a good film. The only thing that really bothered me is how they specifically stated the previous film was "fiction" and "only a movie." I think it would've worked better, and people probably would've liked it more, if they acted like the first film was real footage and the characters in this film went into the woods trying to discover what happened to Heather, Josh, and Mike. That's the only thing I can think of. I would've kept the plot the same, but still kept up the act about the previous film being authentic documentary footage so they could exist in the same universe.
Come, fly the teeth of the wind. Share my wings.

I guess they thought that because the cat was out of the bag by then the second one would ring truer if they went along with that. Sadly, they may have shot themselves in the foot.
Jar Jar Binks
shareMore naked Erica, while alive.
shareThe movie needed a little more time to get the script and everything else more sharper. It was rushed by Artisan to make money as the original was still in popularity at the time, and you can tell in some parts of the movie that it was not cohesive. Plus Artisan screwed with the editing process and made it no make sense in some parts, they should have done a better job through the process. I do agree that the acknowledgement of the original as "Fake" was silly and should have been the opposite.
I say one of the main problems was the script, some of the lines and things that happened were silly and needed to be fixed but never happened. I think the Cast was okay, they just had some bad lines to work with. The Characters were also made to be unlikeable idiots, and depending on your POV that's either a major risk or an epic failure.
And I agree about Erica. She was meant to be the sexy one out of the group and barely had anything to do. They dropped the ball there.

i think they should of gotten rid of the mix match scenes of the tour group getting slaughter cause originally this movie was going to be a psychological horror movie then what we got. if you want more information look up a show called good bad flicks he did a review of blair witch 2 book of shadows

You know what the worst thing about this movie was?
The fact that when the Goth chick goes to get more beer at the store, she only gets a *beep* six pack. What kind of *beep* is that?
She probably went through that in a half hour the way they drank.
shareThe problem with this movie is the film makers, they put a piece of trash out to cash in on the original and highly popular film. Who cares if it sucks, as long as we get some ticket sales and cash in it's okay.
A perfect example as to why HOLLYWOOD SUCKS
When I first read the opening description, I was thinking that it was going to be a scripted version of the original movie filmed like a normal movie in 3rd person with more plot details shown. But a few seconds later more information was revealed, and I realized what what was actually going to happen.
I was thinking that my first thought would have been a really good idea. It would have kind of made the sequel like the Saw sequels, by showing more information about the original story.

If it didn't exist.
shareAfter watching Good/Bad Flicks review of this I agree with the reviewer that this movie had great potential. The director originally wanted to do a parody of the original yet at the same time turn it into a psychological horror film halfway through and save the twist for the very end, that alone would have made it interesting. It would have been a mind *beep* film yet wouldn't have been like it eventually was. Artisan *beep* it all up and potentially killed the series.
Waiting to 2001 would have helped as well, a 2 year wait is better than 1 in most cases.
Nice to see a majority is in this ball park with me. I think the movie as is is all right but there are glaring problems throughout that prevent it from crossing the line into being good. The ending as it is is also terrible because all the punch was gone once editing finished.
