'I've got company!' What was this scene about? (SPOILERS)

I didn't understand the scene where Norton told DeNiro "Hold on a minute... I've got company." And then he just stood there waiting until DeNiro told him that he was pulling out of the job. I understand that he was planning on double crossing him after the safe was opened, but why was he acting like he was going to sabotage the entire plan at that point?

That was the arrogance of Norton's character, he was in charge & wanted to sweat DeNiro a little bit.

Makes sense. Thanks

Yeah it seemed like he was waiting for DeNiro to have to need and ask for his help.

It's more than just Norton being an a-hole. When De Niro first calls and says "I'm ready", Norton makes a face like "no, not yet" and is furiously typing away on the laptop. He is setting the system so that the cameras and alarm are programmed to go off at the appropriate time for him to make his getaway after the double-cross. He then says "I've got company" just to buy a little time when De Niro grown more adamant and he's still not done resetting the system. After that, there is no doubt that Norton enjoys making De Niro wait for him, but that's not the point of the scene.

The explanation for that one is more about the character of Jackie Teller.
