Blue Water Bottle

I haven't seen the movie in a while, but my wife is on a mission to find out what brand of bottled water Brando and De Niro were drinking during a scene while seated in a cafe.

I saw the same brand of water a few years back at a coffee house in Hermosa Beach, CA. I think it was TYNANT.

I'm reviving this six-year-old thread because I just saw the movie on the Starz cable channel and I also noticed those blue bottles. Those Ty Nant water bottles are straighter than the ones in the movie. The blue water bottles in the movie are rounded on the bottom half, much like an Orangina bottle. So I'd be curious if anyone can identify the brand of water packaged in those beautiful bottles.

reply

I don't see any labels nor embossing. My guess is that they're just screw-cap blue bottles filled with tap water. Well, just like bottled water.

What I had in mind was boxing the compass.

I actualy came here to find the same answer. Been looking for the answer since the movie came out. I've seen it in other movies too. Maybe it's like the "infamous" newspaper... http://www.slashfilm.com/lol-the-reoccurring-prop-newspaper/#

But looking at the other threads it does look like Tynant

wtf??? that newspaper thing is so weird, why do they do that? you'd think coming across a newspaper to use wouldn't be hard....that's so strange to me

Hi,

is it possible that the "Tynant" company changed the design of this bottle over the last few years?

Hello, I am from Germany!
So, please apologise my bad English betimes...thx.

reply

quite possible, especially since the movie is 10 years old...thinking about it, it's not uncommon for companies to change the look of their product over time, good observation timo.
