Kate was very unsupportive of her Jack's ambition, his need to provide a better life. She shoud have respected his need to improve their lives financially. I would never hold my husband back and he would never hold me back.

Jack makes that very argument to Kate a few times in the movie. The older I get, the more valid his point feels. We know he actually WAS capable of becoming a big deal on Wall Street. (Lol, I don't have any resentment against my wife for where I ended up.)
Having watched this movie last night, and looking at his dumpy, cluttered NJ home, I'm dedicating this Labor Day weekend to cleaning out the unnecessary STUFF that is all over my house.
