why did the show end?

I knew there was a reason for seeing the same episodes over and over again

There were actually 42 episodes. IMDb's epi guide is not reliable for most shows.
The Amanda Show ended when Amanda moved on to do Big Fat Liar and What I Like About You.

If you call a 4-year-long sitcom & 6 feature films--one of which grossing $200 million--"disappearing," then yes. If that's not what you mean by "disappering," then you're an idiot.

She did. The first season of The Amanda Show overlapped with the sixth season of All That; Amanda only left All That because Nick temporarily cancelled it after season six.

Wikipedia says according to Dan Schneider it was cancelled "unexpectedly", the filming of Big Fat Liar clashing with the Amanda Show might've made her have to choose one or the other.

Dan Schneider wrote Big Fat Liar, too; he was aware that Amanda would be involved. What he didn't expect was that Amanda would want to stop doing TAS.

Most of the last episodes were just best-of compilations, Judge Trudy, commercials, etc.
