This movie tells a sweet love story that would have been better served by unknown actors. I mean, there's nothing surprising about Greg Kinnear playing the smug love interest and no suspense that he'll be left by the movie's end. Mean Suvari was fine, but Jason Biggs was a mistake. Sorry, but he just doesn't look very Mid-West. Jack Lemmon played this character, the lovable schlub, with so much more skill in The Apartment. Biggs is adequate, but not a movie star.
shareNot Mid-West, definitely losery. And this movie isn't called "Mid-Western Guy" for a reason. Although I don't especially like Jason Biggs and his American Pie series of garbage level comedies, I enjoyed this one, and his acting.
