I will admit that this version has got some flaws (though I find them very few). But there are two things that I find absolutely superb. Number 1 is the Silent Night scene which many people have mentioned and I agree with 100%. It gives me goose bumps everytime. The other thing that few have mentioned are The Cratchits. Every version I have seen does Bob Cratchit justice although he is very different in each one. But I find this does the whole family very much justice. You really feel the love between them all. Really superb acting.

I agree. Although some of the dialogue is rather corny, the chemistry with the family works and it does feel like a closely connected family. Particularly with the wife and Bob.

There's only one small segment that irritates me, and that's when the family begin incessantly banging the table with their knives and forks chanting 'the goose' repeatedly. It gets too much. I don't know how the mother didn't scream at them to shut up.
