Scrooge + Belle
My sisters and I remember a version where Scrooge & Belle find each other in the end. Does any one else have any idea which version this is?

shareThe only one I can think of is Scrooged with Bill Murray. Hope that helps.
shareI grew up for years remembering that Scrooge foreclosed on Belle.
Then I realized that was only in Mickeys. :p

"I miss Giles."
Was it the Sim version? I think in that one Scrooge is shown by the Ghost of Christmas Present that the older Alice (not Belle) works as a nurse caring for the sick and poor. He attempts to speak to her but of course she cannot see him. It would have been nice to see if he approaches her again after his transformation.
Scrooged with Bill Murray may be the only version where his "Scrooge" character actually reunites with "Belle" named Claire and played by Karen Allen.
In the book (you have read the book, I take it?) Scrooge sees Belle as she is now, in the Christmas Present sequence, married and with children. She is happy without him.
shareIt's actually a visitation with ghost of Christmas past. (Stave 2)
"
Mr. Scrooge it was. I passed his office window; and as it was not shut up, and he had a candle inside, I could scarcely help seeing him. His partner lies upon the point of death, I hear; and there he sat alone. Quite alone in the world, I do believe."
Whoops, yes, you're right, big Al - not often that I'm caught out! It's the last thing that happens before Scrooge extinguishes the Spirit with its own cap.
Back to the book. It's bedtime, here in London where I am, I'll take it to bed with me. Cup of cocoa and a re-read.
I'm in north Wales. I just finished it last week. I read it at this time every year. Merry Christmas to you.

Oh hey, whereabouts? I used to spend Christmases with inlaws in Snowdonia, very Christmassy, somehow.
shareDyserth, not far from Prestatyn. I can see Snowdon from our window and the sea! No snow on the peak right now but that will change soon enough.
