I've just been watching Kieslowski's "A Short Film About Killing" and noticed how much of the music from that film WKW used in "2046".

Both movies are great, and I actually enjoy how the music is used in "2046" better, but I wondered if anyone else noticed this?

Being that I own the soundtrack CD for Kieslowski's Decalogue, it was kind of hard for me to miss Wong Kar Wai's use of its music in 2046.

That's not the only movie he borrowed music from for 2046. A few years ago I watched Confidentially Yours, Truffaut's last film, and I was surprised to hear in it music that also later got recycled into 2046.

Really? I haven't seen that Truffaut, I'll have to check it out.

It's not all that good, just a small homage to Hitchcock. Fanny Ardant is stunningly photographed in it, though.
