The hotel used in the film

I've read that the hotel used in this is located at Victoria Road, Pokfulam, HK and is called Oriental Hotel, but can't find it anywhere on Google. Was it demolished? The article had a picture of the hotel included, so I knew it wasn't a bogus place. Anyone who's interested in HK movie locations knows what's up?

Here is a real life picture

The "Oriental Hotel" was apparently not a real hotel at all, but a disused house that has appeared in several movies, at least according to this page (www.hkcinemagic.com/en/page.asp?aid=326&page=1):

At the junction of Victoria Road and Mount Davis Path, there is a white house enclosed by walls and barbwires. This house has neither name nor street number. It is only known by locals as the ‘White House.’ It is said that this White House served, under the British ruling, as a place for the Police Department to detain political prisoners. During the 1967 riots many leftists, such as movie stars Fu Qi and Shi Hui, were held captive here.

Now the White House is vacant and is used as a movie location from time to time. In Wong Kar-Wai’s 2046 (2004), the White House becomes the Oriental Hotel.

Thank you! I'm so relieved, for some reason google wasn't my friend last night.
And Lust, Caution is on my list of films to watch too.

Thanks again! This site is really on point. Love Kar Wai.
