for a sort of reboot based on this film's Jason ending up on a new earth? A series that could keep using Hodder and try to capture the earlier tone of the films, revisit some of the better plots in the series with updated effects and production values, etc? I'd watch that ...

'Then' and 'than' are completely different words and have completely different meanings.

I'm afraid the hate for this film is too much to make any sequels. I at least liked it. But if they want to try something different again how about send Jason into the past?

I don't think they will continue the story line , hell I heard that they are even making another reboot to their 2009 reboot.
