This Memorial Day Weekend...

Denzel's speech at Gettysburg rings true to me.

"This is where they fought the battle of Gettysburg. 150 year ago, this is where it happened. 50,000 men died right here on this field. Fighting the same fight that we are still fighting amongst ourselves today. This green field, painted red, with the blood of young boys. Smoke, and hot lead pouring through their bodies. Listen to their souls, men. I killed my brother with malice in my heart. Hatred destroyed my family. You listen, and you take a lesson from the dead. If we do not come together, right now, on this hollowed ground - We too will be destroyed, just as they were. I don't care if you like eachother, but you will respect one another."

Look at America right now, and ask yourself "what can I do?". Let's remember them, and remember their sacrifice. If they looked down on us now, they would be ashamed. Let's show them all that we can be better. And we will be, as long as we learn to get out of our own way.
