I dont get why Boone went so hard on him, I mean he gave the black kid a pass, so what? White kids get the pass for being white. What was it all about? Am I interpreting it wrong?

shareYes. That was a nice subtlety which made this movie a cut above for me. It was deep in that it said Liberalism is Patronizing as a Philosophy that assumes that the boys of Color can't be held to the standards of whites.

I have seen the opposite in my experience. We had a racist school teacher luckily he didnt last the year. I guess going easy on black students would be easier to hide then being racist to them.

Boone was saying he acts the same around everyone, he comes down on all players the same. While Yoast was babying the black players if Boone yelled at them.
It was a scene where they were both right and wrong, if you noticed after this scene they both changed their ways and met in the middle.
