As much as love Jerry Goldsmith's work, Alan Silvestri's music in this movie was far superior to Mr. Goldsmith's score to the original. Anybody agree?

Agreed, I LOVE the score to Returns, while the first is just meh. For me anyway.
shareHonestly it's a tough call. Goldsmith's music is more moody but Silvestri can be counted on to deliver a real swashbuckling score.

shareSilvestri was basically a student of Goldsmith's. He's a good composer.
But no, Goldsmith's score was better. He was a master of these type of horror scores. I can remember his Mummy theme just now, while Silvestri's is forgettable.
