What did Peaches call her dad?

It sounded like "Tai Tai" or something. I'm guessing its from the Bible. Was wondering what it was, what it means, and the reason she simply doesn't call him "daddy".

She called her dad "tatay." It's Tagalog (Filipino).
It's not pronounced correctly though. She says it like, "tah-tay" but it's actually "tah-thai"

Why did she call him that? The dad wasn't filipino.
