With Shawn at his girlfriends house?

Did the dad know about the affair with Rhonda? If so, why would the dad invite him over to have dinner and watch a game?

Or is there something else to it?

I do not think the dad ever knew about that affair. point of the dinner scene was maybe saying look how clueless this husband is for being friendly to his daughters boyfriend. meanwhile shawn has been having sex with the guys wife
