For those with American accents did you find it difficult to understand what in the heck they were saying. I am sorry but I tried to watch this movie twice and could not understand the dialog so I gave up on it both times.

Yes. It's difficult the first time around. Especially Mickey's dialogue. But the more you watch it, the more you understand, and the funnier it gets. Stay with it. This film is a classic.
