Question about the script/deleted scenes

On the special edition DVD there are a few deleted scenes, most of which appear to have been cut for timing. But there's one scene that's confusing, and must have been cut because of a pretty odd change in the story.

In this scene, Avi goes to visit Brick Top, who has what he thinks is the diamond, given to him by Sol and Vinny. Turns out it's fake (it's the fake that Lincoln tried to sell them earlier).

Thing is, Brick Top never got the stone. Before Sol and Vinny could give it to him, Tony got them and made them give it to him and Avi. Wondering if anyone knows how it was supposed to play out if this scene had remained?
