in the words of the virgin mary, ' come again ? '

By far my favorite line. Hysterical. Funny also that many humans don't get it.

So its fun to laugh at them also.

You bet your bollox to a barn dance you're not backing out.

There's a moral to this story Del Boy but for the life of me I can't find it!

what is "betting sb's bollox to a barn dance"? I have seen this movie so many times, but I don't understand what that means

I don't think there's supposed to be a literal meaning it's more the assonance of the expression. It just rolls off the tongue and gets the point across. I'm Irish but there's a certain quirkiness we share with the Brits when it comes to comedy and I just think it's a funny expression.

It's not every day a virgin conceives and bears a son. So you keep that for a couple of hundred years, and the next thing you know, you have the Holy Catholic church.
