What happened to Tony?

SPOILERS AHEAD. You have been warned!

I don't understand Tony's death. Did Tyrone's dog kill him or did Cousin Avi accidentally shoot him when they were fighting over the diamond? The camera angle work was bad in that scene.

Do you really need an explanation? The camera angle was perfect as to not make it obvious that Franky shot him. Didn't you see how he covered his eyes and started shooting everywhere?

Avi shot him when he was firing blind trying to shoot the dog.

If there was any doubt it should have been annihilated by Avi looking at his gun before fleeing back to NYC.

Indeed. I'd have been happier if Avi never even looked at the gun and just left after saying "Tony?..."

That follow-up sequence which lasted about 5 seconds was classic and then replicated in the last few seconds of the movie.🐭
