From what I understand, it's "pikey" = Irish gypsy.
That may be a derogatory term, for all I know, and I don't even know if the accent is accurate.

Actually Pikey is also applied to what people in the US call 'trailer park trash' or people living in projects. In other words the 'scum of society'.

I've had a lot of sobering thoughts in my time Del Boy, it's them that started me drinking!

You've obviously never met an Irish gypsy. Pitts accent is just about passable. 10/10 for effort 7/10 for authenticity.

Read the damn trivia pg. the explanation is there. Because Ritchie was criticized for the difficulty of the accents in Lock Stock....and Brad couldn't master a London accent they went with the gibberish that no one could understand, IMO Brad made it work and it was a joy to try and figure it out. A key to the success of the movie.
